Installing Microsoft Office Student and Teacher Edition 2003

My daugther has the Windows ME operating system, and she
has been given a gift of the above subject software.
However, the box indicates that it requires Windows 2000
or Windows XP or later operating system.

My question is can the software be installed even though
it does not list the Windows Me operating system on the
box?

No.

With Office 2003, Microsoft stop maintaining compatibility with Win 9.x/ME.

If you do not choose to upgrade her computer's operating system, consider
exchanging for Office XP for STE.
