installing new office 2007

I tried to install new office pro 2007 over office pro 2007 that came with my
new computer. during the process I provided my new product key...now the old
MSO ask me for the key and when I give my new key it will not accepted. Do I
have to uninstall the trial version first then install the new one? I have
all updates installed too including SR2. I am running Vista home

Yes. Clear the cache and re-boot as well.

Hi Gordon,
Thank you for the quick reply...I did follow your instructions and
uninstalled the trial version and reboot the computer after clearing all the
temp andcache and intalled the new office.
I tried to check on the new office and got again the error stating that my
product code wrong and it is still show it is trial version even after I did
the uninstall.
can I get to regedit and change the key from withen?
