installing office 2000 on Vista

hello,
I just bought a notebook computer and I'm trying to install office 2000 and
it hangs up after I enter the product key, asking for a driver. Any
suggestions on getting past this?

Only Office 2003 and 2007 are fully supported on Windows Vista. You will find varying issues with older, out of support software on Windows Vista as it was not tested on Vista. This may be one of those issues.

Having said that, what kind of "driver" is needed - Office does not install hardware drivers so please be specific - posting the exact error message would be most helpful.
