Installing Office 2000 on Window98?

Hi,
I tried to custom install office 2000 on a windows98 os with custom
settings. I only wanted word2000. Created a new director /microsoft office
2000/ ... half way through the installation I got could not write to disk
errors and had to blow out of installation.

NOW I have No Outllook....any help will be appreciated.

How to get my Outlooks records back and can I complete the installation...
Not doing anything until I hear from you experts<s>

can you reinstall and let it create its own directorry...I think you can
still choose the programs you want to install.....you may have to reinstall
Outlook but you should still have your data
