I am reloading my PC after a harddisk crash and replacement. My Office 2000
Premium software seems to have a problem with XP home. I get warnings about
missing "internet information server (IIE) 4" during the installation.
Eventually XP wouldn't load Office disks 3 and 4, because it didn't have IIE
4.
This seems to be a bit strange since I was able to load the Office 2000 onto
my Notebook, and even this PC, last time. Both were running XP home when
loaded previously. My guess is that this is a throwback to Office 2000
thinking it is dealing with NT, instead of XP.
Perhaps one of the XP upgrade patches has changed something? Any suggestions?
