Office XP pro version 2002 is not installing on Vista desktop

H

HELP

I purchased Office XP professional version 2002 a while back. We bought a
laptop in Sept which has Vista Home Premium as the OS. We installed the
Office XP pro onto it with no problem.

In January we bought a desktop which also has Vista Home Premium as the OS.
When I try to install Office XP pro, this is what happens:

1. Using setup.exe it only installs the MS Office XP Media Content. I am
never asked for the product key code.
2. If I try running INSTMSI directly, I get an error stating: Wrong OS or
OS version for application.

Why would I be able to load Office XP Pro on the laptop and not the desktop?
What can I do to get this installed?

For Office XP, the media content would be CD #2, if I recall correctly.
