installing Office 2000 SR1 on an XP multiuser system

After installing Office 2000 SR1 on a multiuser WinXP
machine the following occurs. (I was logged in
as "administrator" for the SR1 install)

When any other user is logged in, and they try to run any
of the Office products, (Word, PP, Excel), a window comes
up prompting them to install SR1. The SR1 fails, due to
being already loaded and after many cancel' the product
will finally start.
