I purchased a new laptop w/ XP and would like to install my Office 2000 pro upgrade. The laptop came with Works and Word 2002, but installation cannot find any qualifying products and closes. What do I need to do? Thank you.

Thats because the qualifying apps you have installed are later than the
version of Office yr trying to install.
You will have to use yr origonal qualifying app/s ; when Office install
complains it cannot find a Q product, put origonal Q cd into the drive

Use the CD for the qualifying product you used before to install the
upgrade. If you no longer have the qualifying product CD or floppies, then
your license to use the upgrade is null and void.
