Installing Office 2003 over Works

I have Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003 on a CD that I am preparing to install on my home PC (Windows XP). However, my computer came with Microsoft Works 6.0 installed, which includes Word 2002, and I have saved many WP documents in Word 2002, and also some spreadsheets in Works. I would like to end up with all my WP documents in Word 2003, and my spreadsheets in Excel; if I could do that, then I would probably not need to keep Works 6.0 installed. My questions: Is there anything I should know about installing this CD before I begin, and which type of installation should I choose: “Upgrade,†“Typical,†or one of the others (Complete, Minimal, or Custom).
