Whenever you uninstall Office, it does not touch your files that you
created, including Outlook .pst files and other files.
You can go ahead and install Office 2003 and see what it does to the
previous installation but I would make a backup of my important files first.

|| installing Office 2003. If your Office 2003 is an upgrade, leaving
