Hi Frank,
Office 2003 will replace those apps from Office XP
that have counterparts in the Office System 2003
Edition you buy (i.e. if you have Frontpage 2002
it won't be removed by Office 2003 as it's now
a standalone only app for 2003).
As with any setup always backup your files first
and shut down all running software and utilities,
including antivirus, when running setup.
Use the 'custom' installation choice in Office to
have more visisibilty and control over the upgrade
process.
==========
Do I need to uninstall Office XP prior to installing
Office 2003? If not, will my Office XP Outlook contacts
automatically transfer to Outlook 2003? >>

I hope this helps you,
Bob Buckland ?
