Hello, I want to install on my PC (XP PRO) on D: drive the trial Office 2007

You can do that without any problem. Office 2007 will let you choose between
keeping the old version or removing them. In case of problems, you can just
remove any of them using "add/Remove" in control panel.

Officially it's not supported but you should be ok.

You can expect to be able to use only one version of Outlook.

But, remember, it's still a beta so backup your important data.

I Installed Office 2007 Trial, did not like it, uninstalled it,
reinstalled/repaired my Office 2000 Pro but can only use it if the
installation cd is in my laptop. Please help...and thanks in advance.

I get message: Problem with shortcut. The installtion source for this
product is not available. Verify that the source exists and that you can
access it.
I press ok, get message: Windows Installer. The feature you are trying to
use is on a CD that is not available. Insert MS 2000 pro disk and click ok.
It continues over and over.

Thanks Echo but when I opt to change Ofice, I don't have an option to "run
all from computer".

Okay, thanks.

I'm not very good at troubleshooting installation issues, but if I were in
your position, I'd go to Windows Control Panel | Add-Remove Programs and opt
to "change" Office 2000. Tell it to "run all from computer." You'll need to
put your disk in during the installation change, but hopefully then you
won't need it when you're doing your daily work.
