Installing Office 2007 on two computers?

J

JudyK

I have a desktop and a laptop computer in my home. I am considering
upgrading my Office programs to the 2007 version. Do I have to buy the
program twice to install on both of my computers or can I install one on
both? I will be the only one using either computer.

If you aren't using Office for commercial use then you can purchase the
Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007 edition which can be installed on up
to three computers:

If you are using Office for commercial use then typically the other retail
editions allow installation on one computer and the owner's laptop.

On the bottom back of the box you are purchasing it will say if you can
install on more than 1 computer. I purchased 2007 Office Profession. I can
put it on 3 computer. If I does not say up to 3 computers on the back of the
box - then you can only put it on 1 computer. I think the Student copy you
can only put on 1 computer.

Hi Liz,

You may want to relook at the small print and asterisks on the back of the Office 2007 Professional box. The note for up to 3
computers applies to the Office 2007 Home & Student Edition. The Office 2007 Professional (retail) edition allows two computers
(desktop & a portable).

Sorry Liz but you misread the box. The Use Terms will tell you what is
permissible. The ONLY version the 3 PC deal applies to, is the Home and
Student one.

This thread was answered, closed, and has been dead for 6 months. And
ONLY the H&S version can be installed on 3 PC's concurrently.
