Installing Office 2007 to new Computer

Hey,

I have installed my 2007 MS Office to my new computer. I can not find my
activation code from when I installed it on my old computer. Does anyone
know if MS charges for me to call in to get the code? Will they give it to
me if I call? I do not want to have to buy it again because I bought it 3
months ago.

Hi Lori,

The CD installation key is constant. The activation code is machine specific. If you have an OEM edition of Office 2007 it is tied
to the first machine where its used and not generally movable.

If you have a retail copy of Office 2007 you can activate it online or by phone (if necessary) after installation. There isn't a
charge for this.
