This newsgroup is for questions and answers about Microsoft Access database
software - Microsoft Access is not included in Office Home and Student. Even
if you were asking about installing a version of Office that does include
Microsoft Access, you would be better served by asking your question in a
newsgroup devoted to Office.
That said, it is often beneficial to uninstall an existing copy (esp. a
trial copy) before installing a fresh new copy of most software. There are
even open source and third-party software applications that you can use to
eliminate lingering settings and other items that a normal uninstall leaves
behind.
