Installing Office Pro 2003 on XP

I start installing the product, after entering the
Product Key it gets to about 50% of "preparing to
install" and then it hangs.
I have tried to change options etc but it always hangs at
the same spot.
Suggestions?

Check Your hard disk, either lack of space or bad sectors

I similar trouble installing WinXP and it stalled out
until I replaced faulty disk.
