installing old software on new computer

If anyone can help me figure out how to install my Microsoft Word and
Excel on my new Mac please let me know. The "migration Assisitant" on
the Mac doesn't work. I have my discs, seriel numbers and product
codes, but have been upgrading for years which requires a previous
version on the computer, which of course I don't have for the reasons
mentioned. I know I can call M-soft next week, but hope to get this
going today. Any ideaa? Thanks, CA

You don't need to have the previous version installed. Install the
latest version you have and when asked for the previous version, insert
the qualifying previous CD.
