I'm trying to install Outlook 2003 (only Outlook not entire Office 2003)
trough Group Policy - assigned package to computer. I have also created a
MST file, which customize application.
On targeted computer installation begin well - on display is message
"Instilling managed software Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 …". And that's
all! It will stand there until I power off the computer!
In application event log I can see:
(ID: 301, Info): "The assignment of application Microsoft Office Outlook
2003 from policy Outlook2003 succeeded."
(ID: 63, Warning): A provider, OffProv11, has been registered in the WMI
namespace, Root\MSAPPS11, to use the LocalSystem account. This account
is privileged and the provider may cause a security violation if it does
not correctly impersonate user requests.
In system log are these entries:
(ID 7035, Info): The Office Source Engine service was successfully sent a
start control.
(ID 7036, Info): The Office Source Engine service entered the running
state.
(ID 7036, Info): The Office Source Engine service entered the stopped
state.
After that - nothing more …
After the power off Outlook is installed! It is working fine, everything
is looking good, but I wish to avoid force power off! If I try to remote
shutdown computer I get message "The device is not ready", so only
solution is force power off.
Any suggestion?
