installing publisher 2003 on Vista Home Premium

I am trying to install publisher 2003 on my new laptop with Vista Home
Premium. After I enter the product keyand tell it to do a typical install,
the installation progress screen appears and the process hangs. I end up
having to ctl-alt-delete the process. Is there any fix for this?
