I am running Office 2003 in Windows XP Professional. When I seek updates, I
get the message "The Office Update site is unable to check for updates on
this computer. This may be happening because of one of the following
reasons:..." Of the four reasons, I do have administrator rights on my
computer; I have been attempting to download updates for some time and can
get updats for windows with no problem so don't think there is a network
problem; and I have yet to be able to successfully install an update. When I
download a update and try to install it, I get a "The update cannot be
applied" message.
