Instant Search is not able to find items

Recently, the instant search bar in the Outlook 2007 give me "No Matches for
Search Item" message on anything I want to search for, even under "All Mail
Items". It used to work fine, but I don't know what it is that is preventing
the search. Please help. Thanks.

I too have recently experienced this problem, and can't figure out how to fix
it. In help there are instructions on rebuilding the search index (after
you've check the indexing status to make sure both the right things are being
indexed and that indexing is finished). Unfortunately it simply didn't work.
I have now rebuilt the search index (Control Panel ... Indexing Options ...
Advanced ... Rebuild).
I'd love to stick with the inbuilt search as it's a much more elegant
solution, but I really think I'll have to switch to Copernic or Google
desktop search unless someone can help here.
