Instant Search Problems

I am having trouble with Instant Search on PST files that are stored on a
network drive. The PST is not encrypted.
I have rebuilt the Index at least three times. I have rebooted after
rebuilding the index. The index status in Outlook indicates that it is
finished. Search Options are set such that the messages in the PST should
be indexed. Also, I have created a new Outlook Profile, but still no
successful searches.
When I perform a search using either “Instant Search†or “Advanced Find†no
items are returned. However, the “Search Folder†that I built within the PST
returns all the appropriate items for the search. Any help offered will be
greatly appreciated.
