Instructions for SP1 multi-language update

It's not clear to me, from reading the 2007 Office Resource Kit, nor to my
languages coordinator, exactly how we are supposed to get all parts of a
multi-language installation of Office 2007 Enterprise up to Service Pack 1.

I think the sequence is something like "apply SP1, then the English language
pack SP1, then the language pack SP1 for each installed language". Are there
explicit instructions somewhere? The "2007 Microsoft Office System Service
Pack 1
White Paper" is not clear either.

Of course, part of the same issue is: How do you tell which parts of Office
2007 have been updated to SP1 and which parts have not?

I just learned of a variant on this problem: a PC has Office 2007 Enterprise
SP1 installed, and the user wants to add a couple of languages. What files
are needed to get the installation fully up-to-date, including the SP1 for
the language packs? What's the sequence? For example, "install the non-SP1
language pack for a language, then install the SP1 for that language"? Or
just "install the SP1 for each language"? Help!
