"Insufficient memory" message

H

Herb

For testing purposes I had to save a Word 2000 file in Word 6 format
(under Windows 2000).

When I double-click the Word 6 file I get an "Insufficient memory"
message and the file refuses to open, although it opens alright via File
Open if I open Word 2000 first.

I have plenty of memory, so memory can't really be the problem.

It isn't a big issue, I'm just curious to find out what is going on
and/or how it avoid it.

Thank you.
