integration of project server 2007 with search server 2008

its a current situation we have which we would like to rectify.

could you please let me know the answer?

I am not a search server expert, but according to the documentation, it can
index WSS sites, which Project Server definitely is. That doesn't include
the actual project schedules though, which are stored in SQL and require
a BDC connection to index (as documented on Codeplex.)

You might have better luck directing this inquiry to the Search Server or
SharePoint forums.
