Interactive Buttons in 2003

I have been trying to figure out how much weight or file size the
Interactive Buttons add to a Web page and placed seven buttons, with all
three states, on a page. I got the size as roughly 24kb. Is that about
right? Thanks.

Sounds about right if you used .gifs
W/ 3 states you have 3 images per button. (21 total for 7 sets)

Thanks Stefan, I needed a second opinion. I did get seven sets of three
each. These buttons are .jpg's though. Could that make a difference?

It just depends on the size of the images you use

Stefan, I posted this earlier but thought I would grab you on topic here.

Do the buttons need to be in the Image folder always? I built the 2003
buttons and saved the page int he root dir and the buttons in a folder
called "buttons" . I use the page as an include page and the buttons work
fine on pages in the root, but works goofy in pages in a folder below the
root. Showing as missing but if you roll over them they sometimes show up.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance,
Deb

The Save Embedded images can be in any folder, but if you are using them in Include pages you need to copy the scripts from the HEAD
section and BODY tag from the include page to all pages using them (and adjust the paths in the scripts)
Include Pages and Shared borders Only include content Inside of the BODY tags

You really should look at the new Dynamic Web Templates (DWT) instead of Include Pages
- DWT applied to pages will handle the Interactive Buttons applied at any level

Stefan thank you! I knew it had to be something like this - you're a peach.

And not only a solution but a suggestion to do it another way even better!
Thank you soooo much. I will teach myself what you suggested. Thank again
and happy new year.
