Interactive Buttons

Please Help

In all the reading I have done I am to beleive that when you create an
interactive button there should be 3 jpg images, one for normal, hover and
depressed.

No matter what I try, I can only get one image to save and that is the
normal one.

Can anyone please tell me if there is a glitch or if some file is missing.

I am kind of stuck without an answer.

Please help

Part of the problem is you probably don't speak Javascript. You have to
make sure each image has a seperate name. I believe the trick I used is
under "Format -> Dynamic Html effects" but the trick maybe to select the
basic Html/image before you goto that menu. That should allow you to
display the different images you want. I think I eventually got irritated
and hand-coded it. But that is where I started from.

There are some very good FP people who hangout in
"microsoft.public.frontpage.client"

Phil, the other newsgroup I just mentioned has 8,617 active messages on the
newgroup server I am accessing. I know for a fact that Microsoft Valuable
Persons (maybe as many as 10 or so) who specialize in FrontPage hangout
there. I think I have answered your question but there is where I would go
for additional help if you can't get it here.

I have a file that is titled "Things I wish I had known before I started
using FP" and one of them is a light introduction to html so you can tweak
it when you can't get FP to quite do it right.

in the interface to create the buttons make sure you have selected 3
different images, try changing the colors of the text, save it, let them get
embedded as gifs.
mine work just fine without any tweaking
I have also edited the images outside FP with Photoshop and got good
results.
I also have had good success making navigation bars using themes, which
gives you the images for the rollovers.
