Interactive Instructional PPT files

Dave Leer

I want to explore PP for developing self-paced interactive tutorials. The
tutorials will consist of images and text and links that when clicked will
open small windows of additional information. After reviewing the
information I would also like to give users the opportunity to practice. So
maybe a tutorial might cover how to save files in PP and afterward I would
like to include a screenshot of the menu in PP and upon mousing over or
clicking on "file" a graphic representing the actual "file" menu in PP will
appear, and so on...

1.) Does anyone know where I might be able to find a tutorial on something
like this?

2.) Does anyone have any PP files that do something similar to this that you
would be willing to share?

Thanks for any help!!

As David's link will show you, PowerPoint can do quite a bit of
interactivity if you understand VBA. You can learn quite a bit about VBA
reading his book. Go to the link in his signature to find out about it.
Besides the "Games" link on my site, I also have a link to a sample Computer
Based Training (CBT) file I created. With variations of this program you
can provide them interactivity, provide review questions, administer a test,
and capture scores within Microsoft Access, for example, to make a complete
learning experience using PowerPoint. If you want to download a sample
file, click the link below. Keep in mind that it uses macros and requires
your Macro Security to be set to MEDIUM (preferred), and macros "Enabled",
when asked.
