Interfacing with data on the Web

I wish to access some data from an online database and download it into
MSWord

I have written an ASP file which (using XML) displays the data in a browser
window.

Is there a method for accessing the data on that web page?
Alternatively is there another way of getting the data?

I guess that's a "No" then?

Let me be a bit clearer about what I'm doing.

From MSWord VBA, I can display a web page that I have designed to contain
the data I want to put in an offline Word document.

Is there a VBA method to extract the data from an online web page and insert
it into an offline document?

OK I have been given a pointer from elsewhere that it may be possible to use
an ActiveX control from inside Word to get the data. Has anyone got a view
on this.

PS I'm not just babbling to myself, even though it might appear so!

OK if I send any more replies to myself, people will start talking and I'll
have to increase my medication (again)

Is there ANYONE who can at least say "don't waste your time, Eddie, it can't
be done?

Should I find another tree to bark-up?
