intermittant ability to view resource assignments

I have setup an RBS and am trying to view assignments for resources that
report to me. I've adjusted the permissions for My Direct Reports,
which I'm a member of, to view assignments for resources that report to
me. However, when I go to view the assignments via Resources | View
Resource Assignments, the only way I'm able to get this to work is to do
the follwing steps:
1) Clear out any "Resources to Display"
2) Move myself to Resources to Display, then click Apply. My tasks then
show.
3) Then add any other resoruces to "Resources to Display".

If I then change from Current Assignments to All Assignments, or save
the view, move to another section of PWA and then come back to that
view. nothing shows up in the task list and I have to start over at #1
again. This can't be right.
