Intermittent Lock Out!

This is a strange one. I have 5 users running Win XP (sp2) networked with
SBS 2003. They are sharing an MSAccess 2003 db on the server. Usually
everything works ok, but at least once per day a user will try and open the
file and be prompted that they are locked out. Everyone then needs to close
access and reopen. Any suggestions?

I had the same kind of problem with users on a database being shared via
Remote Desktop. It turns out if the first person who opened the database
was the one person what had administrator rights on the server, Access would
open and lock everyone else out. If someone other than this person opened
the database first, all was fine.

Of course, those few people were all using the same front-end mdb
file...which is really not a good idea in the first place.
