I'm creating a presentation for my speech class entitled "The ABC's of
Groupwork". I'd like to have a link bar of some sort at the bottom of every
page so the user can quickly navigate to any letter of the alphabet. I tried
making a text block, highlighting the a letter, we'll say 'A', Action
Settings, Hyperlink To...but in the dropdown menu, there are only links to
the beginning and end slide, previous, next, etc. How can I link to any slide
on the presentation? Thanks

What version of PowerPoint?

If you are using PowerPoint 2002/3 than one of the options in the hyperlink
pulldown is 'slide'. You may need to scroll down the list of items on the
hyperlink list to see this option. It will then give you the list of slides
and allow you to choose which you want to link to.
