Internet e-mail service is not installed properly

Hi

On loading, a dialog appears:
"Internet e-mail service is not installed properly. Please
re-install Outlook and specify the 'Corporate or
workgroup E-mail service."
Then, on OK, a second dialog appears:
"The MAPI spooler has shut down unexpectedly. Close all
mail enabled applications before attempting to log on
again".
On OK, Outlook does not respond, and can only be closed.

Have tried to re-boot; repair; un- and re-install, but to
no avail.

Any help will be highly appreciated.
Running Norton Anti Virus;
