Internet Explorer 6.0 will not open PDF files

Internet Explorer 6.0 will not open PDF files on the internet. (all that
appears is the little placeholder box) Even after installing Adobe reader 7.0

I have the same problem with IE 5 for Mac. I have changed the default PDF
reader and have Adobe Reader installed but it still wont perform for me. I
believe it has not been made easy enough to get IE to select the PDF reader
in Preferences.

the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

After furious head scratching, Brendan asked:

Much of my company's correspondence is done thru online forms completion and
either imported or converted to various office documents!

Thanks Caroline, My sister is a Mac user also it appears this problem is
universal!
