Internet Explorer 6 and Outlook 2002

Dear All
I am having a problem regarding clicking on a link which
should open up a new messge in outlook 2002, Outlook
profile is configured.
However the error message i receive is "The Operation
Failed. An object could not be found"
Any one else has come accross this and know solution to it
