Since I upgraded from Publisher 2003 to 2007....and at the same time upgraded
Internet Exp from 7 to 8....I can't seem to save updates to my website. I
put in the correct user name and password, but it won't save. There is no
problem on the Servers end...as I called. The problem is between here and
there with ftp. any ideas?

Reference: Prepare, publish, and maintain your Publisher Web site:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/publisher/HA100947601033.aspx
It is written for Pub 2007 and it may give you some ideas of how to upload.

However, I would suggest that now would be a good time to switch to a third
party ftp client. Rather than waste time trying to figure out what MSFT has
done to make you safer by not allowing you to upload the way you used to,
then consider downloading and installing the free FTP client FileZilla:
http://filezilla-project.org/
Invest a little time in learning how to use FileZilla and in the long run it
will be easier for you. Also peruse this page:
http://filezilla.sourceforge.net/documentation/
Download and read the instructions, and read the instructions on your Web
host about using FileZilla or other ftp clients.

Reference: Aplus.net: How do I upload with Filezilla:
http://www.apluskb.com/scripts/How_do_I_upload_with_answer3668.html
This article has some good screenshots that may help you understand how to
use FileZilla. Your webhost will probably be different, but the principles
will be the same.

By the way, in case you are not aware the compatibility issues with IE8:

Reference: Navigation bars and other content is missing from Publisher HTML
output in Internet Explorer 8: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/969705

This is also fixed with the Office 2007 SP2:

Reference: Description of 2007 Microsoft Office Suite Service Pack 2 (SP2)
and of Microsoft Office Language Pack 2007 SP2:
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=953195

If you have reservations about installing the patch, then you can manually
ungroup the navbar as per the first KB. Post back if you want more
information.

Thank you. I will try that. What do you think if I go back to IE 7 ??
Also, is there a good WEB program out there that isn't too expensive. I just
really like Publisher, but it seems the HOST don't care about Publisher at
all. thanks
