internet explorer word document

I have uploaded word docs via frontpage 2000. When I click the links to
these documents, they open, but then Micro Internet Explorer freezes up and I
have to Ctr Alt Del to stop the program. Any suggestions. I have loaded all
the updates for my Micro Office 2000.
