Internet link in PP show

When I am in PP 2008 and I have a link that I click on that in my PP,
it goes to the internet site bit I have to jump through lots of
gyrations to get the webpage to display correctly -- and only when the
projector is plugged in. So, when I set it up, it looks great. I go do
my presentation in front of people with the LCD projector, and I am
dancing to get it "fixed" I have been using Firefox as the main
vrowser because I like the colorful tabs & easy access to new tabs.
Should I be changing to Safari?

Also, to get into "projector" mode, there seem to be many modes --
command F8, Option F8, and probably more -- some seem to show on the
screen what is on the computer (to mirror) another one shows just the
desktop of the computer, despite what is on the powerpoint -- and then
there are the PP views of presenter and slide show. Is there a way
for me to get clear about all t hese?

Two "related" topics...thanks for your help.
