Internet Mail add-in in Outlook 97 and Windows XPHome

Claudia Merida

Hi everybody,

I am trying to setup our MS Outlook 97 on our new computer
Windows XP HOme Edition. The problem is that I can't
install the INternet Mail Service in MS Outlook to setup
our email account.
I tried to install the MINET.ECF file from the menu:
tools-->options-->General-->Add-in Manager
but when I click on the minet.ecf file to open and install
it it doen't show up in my add-ins list. It only allows me
to add mail 3.0 extensions.

I also tried reinstalling MS Office 97 with ALL the
options checked. I tried adding the TCP/ip Service
component to Windows XP to set up a different profile from
the Control Panel-->Mail(and Fax) but it doesn't work
either.

Please any suggestion?

Thanks,
Claudia.

Go to Office downloads and install the Internet Mail Enhancement Patch as
well as the rest of the Office 97 updates. Some of them are critical.
