I am wondering if anyone has encountered the following problem and knows (1)
what is going on, (2) if it is good or bad, and (3) how to stop it from
happening:
Every time I open a Microsoft Office Suite 2007 program (I am running
Professional Plus), a second window briefly opens that says "Please wait
while Setup prepares the necessary files." Also, if I have been running a
program for any considerable length of time--30 minutes or more--this same
window will pop up and momentarily freeze my progress in whichever program I
am using.
Additionally, I have started to receive Macro error messages at start-up
with Word and all of my initial menus in Publisher are no longer in English,
but Chinese. I fear something quite serious is happening to or through my
Office Suite Professional Plus 2007 software.
The icing on the cake was my seeing the "blue screen of death" earlier
today. While the computer (Dell Inspiron 1318) is back up and running, I am
a bit worried what the future might hold.
I deeply appreciate any help with this matter.
