Invalid Bookmark

When compacting my database I keep getting an error that says: Not a Valid
Bookmark" or "Invalid Bookmark". What does this error mean?

Probably corruption of some sort, which the Compact process is
apparently unable to fix.

I'd suggest creating a new database and using File... Get External
Data... Import to import everything from this database into a new one.
