Invalid Message

I want a "not in list" message. I can set the properties with the "not on
list event" and this works, but I do not like the message that appears. I
can create a new message but then I have the default message and my message.
Is there a way (easy way!!) to eliminate the default message.

And by the way, I am fairly new to this discussion group and I am really a
novice at Access, but I am totally impressed with answers I am getting.
There is a lot of brain cells out there firing.

Check Access HELP on the NotInList event for an example. As I recall, you
can customize the message that shows, rather than having the canned message
(or both).

I have not yet been able to find this issued addressed with the "Help" from
Microsoft.

When I use Access HELP (or, if necessary, opening a module and using VBA
HELP), I find an example of how to put together a NotInList event procedure
that provides the user a friendlier message.
