Invalid Product Key Error

Help! "You have entered an invalid product key" Now what? I can't seem to activate my Office 2003 on a newly purchased Compaq with preloaded software. I copied (very carefully) every digit of the Product Key from the sticker on top of the computer. I tried calling HP's help line, but was transfered through 4 operators (45 min call) in a telephone center in India. The last told me to go to www.microsoft.com/office which was of no help.

The product key sticker on your computer is for Windows not Office. Look
through the papers that came with your computer for the Office product key.
If HP provided the Office 2003 CDs in a DVD case, look inside. On retail
versions, that is where the product key is located.
