Invisible appointments-new ones at same time show a "conflict"

All recurrences of a weekly appointment have disappeared. However, if I try
to build anything in that time period, it shows that the new appointment
conflicts with something, even though there is nothing there. Since all of
these appointments have notes in them, is there any way to "restore" them?

It sounds like you are using a filtered view. Try the following to
reset your view back to default.

You do not mention what version of Outlook you use.
Without knowing this I will include the instructions for
Outlook 2003:

Open Outlook
- Select the VIEW menu
- Select ARRANGE BY
- Select CURRENT VIEW
- Select DEFINE VIEWS
In the Custom View Organizer window:
- Select DAY/WEEK/MONTH
- Click the RESET button
- Click OK when the window asks "Are you sure you
want to reset the view "Messages" to its original settings?"
- Click the APPLY VIEW button
- Click the CLOSE button

This should reset your Calendar to the original settings.

Thanks Nikki - I am using 2003 (upgraded from prior versions). I tried your
suggestion and the appointments still don't show up on my calendar. And, I
haven't wanted to mess with resetting the view of my recurring appointments
for fear of losing something else!

I did try previously (and again) to see the view of "recurring appointments"
and this is what I see:
Subject Location Recurrence Pattern Recurrence Range Start Recurrence Range
End Categories Icon Weekly

OFFICE MEETING every Wednesday from 8:30 AM to 9:00 AM Wed 4/18/2001 No
end Office Meeting

So, it still appears to be there, but does't show up on the calendar. I can
always add it back in, but am concerned about my notes for each office
meeting. I have a back up, but don't know how to only restore this
appointment or even if that's possible.

Thank you in advance for any further suggestions you may have,
Barbara S

When you say "it still appears to be there, but doesn't show up on the
calendar", Where do you see that?

Is this a work system or at home?
Do you know if you are using Exchange or Cox or ... for your ISP?
