Invisible cursor

Lost my cursor on an excel spreadsheet and can't find how to get it back.
Everything moves but I don't know where my cursor is on the spreadsheet.

If you minimize excel and then maximize, does this help?

Is the cursor gone for other applications?

(worse comes to worse, if you close excel and reopen it are you ok?)
