Please can you advise if there is an easy way to design
an invitation, four to a page on landscape layout?

Create a custom label format in the envelope/label wizard using a landscape
2 x 2 format. Create a new document then build the invitation in the first
cell. Then copy the invitation from the first cell to the others.

Or, if you're using preprinted stock, check Tools | Envelopes and Labels to
see if there is a label definition already available.
