(1) I clicked on the rectangle (drawing toolbar) and placed it on a blank
layout. Then I clicked outside the rectangle. Later, I clicked in the
middle of the rectangle and I had no problem keying in text.
(2) I clicked on the rectangle and placed it on the above slide. This
time, I changed the fill color to NO FILL before I clicked outside the
rectangle. Then, I clicked in the middle of the rectangle, I could not get
the edit mode and I couldn't key in text. The only way I could invoke the
edit mode was by placing my cursor on one of the borders.
What I learned from this experiment is:-
It is better to place the cursor on the borders of any autoshapes,
rectangles, ovals, textboxes, objects ...... before I click. Try to make the
four-arrow cross alive first!
