iPhone through Exchnage to Entourage Issues

Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel
Email Client: Exchange

I am on a MSFT Exchange server and all the email I send from the iPhone shows up in Entourage 2008 looking like this (see below the line)

This message was basically sent from my iPhone using my Exchange account and my Exchange address to a secondary email account and had the Subject Test from Yahoo and Test in the body. Like:

From: (e-mail address removed)
To: (e-mail address removed)

Subject: 2 test from Yahoo

Any ideas why I am getting the gooblygook? Is this an Exchange problem? An Entourage Problem or an iPhone Problem?

I know the iPhone only sends plain text yet this error message (?) seems to be saying it has been converted to HTML. How does that happen? Is there a setting in Exchange?

More important any fixes so I can read what I sent?

I believe it is a known issue. iPhones use a different protocols to
communicate with the Exchange servers. Some unpatched servers mess-up
the e-mails in a way that makes them unreadable by Entourage (but not
Outlook).

If I quite remember, the solution is to make sure the server is properly
updated.

Have a look at this blog post of mine:

"Use AppleScript to read ActiveSync Sent Items in Entourage"
<http://blog.entourage.mvps.org/2008..._read_activesync_sent_items_in_entourage.html>
or <http://tinyurl.com/6f83vv>

Be sure to read the comments. Many folks have contributed to and revised
-- even rewritten -- the script I started here and done some wonderful
things.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for your info. I think we are pretty much up to date unless what you are refering to are hot fixes. Do you know?

I don't know more than that. I can't even get my own e-mails through
ActiveSync :-\

You might want to look in the group here. There has been numerous other
posts on the topic and you might be able to gather more from there,

Well through much research I have found that this is a glitch in 2003 Exchange Active Sync that allegedly is fixed in Exchange 2007. We won't be switching to 2007 anytime soon as it will require a server change so I can't confirm that. And also from my understanding MSFT is not supporting fixes to 2003 anymore, ergo "it is what it is" and the Apple Script work arounds seem to be the only solution.
