is Activity Plan limited to 100 tasks?

I'm using Project Server 2007. I have an activity plan with 100 tasks. If I
select any task and click on insert task an error box pops up that displays,
"you have reached the maximum number of tasks allowed to insert in this
project."

Is an Activity Plan limited to 100 tasks? Is this the default? Can it be
adjusted?

i am not sure becaz MS saying task per project limit is
400,000.(http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/project/HP101065651033.aspx).
look on other sides of the error.

Both activity plans and proposals are limited to 100 tasks. This is a hard
limit which cannot be adjusted.
