Is amount of text in a cell limited?

Don

I have a cell formatted with wrap text. Several columns wide and quite high.
When a large amount of text is entered in the cell, excel will not display
it all. The cell only appears half full. I have tried cell validation with
no success. Is there a limit?

Hi
limit is 1024 characters. You can extend this by manually entering
linebreaks with ALT+ENTER

You can have about 32k characters in a cell.

But to see more than about 1000 characters, you have to add some alt-enters to
force new lines within the cell.

You may have to adjust the rowheight manually, too.

Yes will see only 1024 chars in the cell, but you can input up to 32767
which you can see in the formula bar.
